Harvest Fest Draw Tickets Available

Over the last 5 years, we have been actively fundraising in support of our Uusi Koti – New Home Campaign for Seniors Independent Living. At the end of November 2016 over 100 seniors will move in and make Uusi Koti their new home. To celebrate this amazing accomplishment, the OFRA Board of Directors and Foundation, led by the Board Chair, Todd Slotegraaf, set to go out with a bang, hosting an event with bigger and better prizes and giveaways as well as holding the largest raffle in OFRA history.

OFRA and our event committee were overwhelmed and touched with the amount of support from the community for both the event and draw. Over 225 businesses, staff members and volunteers worked endlessly, volunteering their time to help us sell our Harvest Fest Draw tickets. Ticket sales topped an astounding $75,000! All of the money raised from this draw and event will be used to purchase therapeutic and accessible equipment for the residents of OFRA.

The Harvest Fest Draw winners are:

1st Prize: 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570 ATV from Rivercity Motorsports or $6,000

2nd Prize: 11ft Cedar Strip Canoe made by Ron Pellinen & 6 Kegs of Beer from Northern Superior Brewing Co.

Winner: Jordan Harrison – Ticket #4419



3rd Prize: 2017 Stealth Titan 6×12 Cargo Trailer from Woody’s Wheels or $2,400

Winner: Mike Makasoff – Ticket #2910



4th Prize: Fly-in-Fishing Trip for Four from Hawk Air or $1,800

Winner: Pat Nolan – Ticket #5029

The Harvest Fest Event was just as successful, bringing in over $20,000, which included the dinner tickets, the penny raffle, the silent auction, 50/50 cash lottery, marketplace and in-kind donations.

The donation of all our prizes, goods and services as well as the marketplace items has been overwhelming. The Event proceeds will help furnish some of the common spaces in Uusi Koti.
