The Ontario Finnish Resthome Association and Foundation, held its 2nd Annual Harvest Fest Draw on September 8, 2017 which represents a new campaign toward the building of a new Long- Term Care Facility, New Mauno Kaihla Koti, raising funds for Recreational Therapy and Assistive Devices for the residents of OFRA. We thank everyone who participated, our honoured sponsors, and the volunteers that worked so hard to make the event such a great success.  It is our pleasure to announce the winners of the draw:

Suomi Esti Maja provides a warm atmosphere and clean surroundings to help each resident to feel comfortable and safe in their surroundings. Many activities are planned and residents can be as busy and involved as they desire or, they can just enjoy the company of others.

Kotitalo

Kotitalo provides supportive housing and enhanced living. Services are for disabled adults (55 years of age and older) and adults (60 years of age and older). Services offered emphasize the physical, social and spiritual needs of the individual. These services include dietary needs, housekeeping, laundry, activation programs and 24 Lifeline Emergency call response.

Mauno Kaihla Koti

Mauno Kaihla Koti (nursing home) nursing home has ward, semi-private and private accommodation. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items to decorate their rooms to help with adjustment. Staff are friendly and helpful and try very hard to make each person feel comfortable and secure. Meals are provided with care and attention to special dietary needs.
