The Grand Parade: A Walk for Our Seniors

Saturday, September 21, 2024,
over 150 participants and volunteers gathered for the celebration of a lifetime as we fundraised and walked for our senior residents here at The Ontario Finnish Resthome!
What is The Grand Parade?
It's a charitable program of Blue Sea Foundation who's mission is to help charities across Canada fundraise for their causes.

This was our third year in a row participating in this national, family-friendly fundraiser walk that helps support local charities such as ours who provide essential care and service for aging Canadians.
The 2024 Grand Parade allowed for the purchase of new dining room chairs and common area furniture for our Mauno Kaihla Koti (MKK) Long-term Care home. These chairs will accompany the recent dining room table upgrades that were made possible because of our AMAZING supporters. Thank you to all who donated, fundraised, and gathered together on Sept. 21 to continue creating a more comfortable, better than basic home for our loved ones and your community seniors!
