Partnering with the OFRA Ladies' Auxiliary and from the very generous support of donors, we have purchased the new wardrobes for our long-term care home!!!
They are scheduled for delivery and install so be sure to follow the OFRA Facebook page or check back here in March 2025 to see the wardrobes in action! P.S. the wardrobes will be paired with new resident beds and bedside tables. We are so grateful to have such incredible support to provide a refreshing uplift to our seniors. We invite you to join us in making a difference that goes beyond a simple gift. Our mission is to provide each Mauno Kaihla Koti (MKK) long-term care resident with a new wardrobe—an essential item that offers atmospheric comfort, dignity, and a true sense of home.
For our residents, these wardrobes are not just functional—they represent personal space, security, and offer a sense of stability. The current wardrobes, most dating back to when MKK opened, are worn, warped, and difficult to clean. By fundraising for new wardrobes, we address safety, hygiene, and functionality, providing much-needed upgrades to our residents' rooms.
Our Campaign: Enhancing Comfort
We are dedicated to improving the lives of our long-term care residents. MKK has recently received major upgrades including new dining room tables, hallway upgrades, and new room window coverings. We will soon see new dining room chairs and common area furniture in addition to other resident room upgrades. Many of these improvements were made possible with the generous support of the OFRA Family.
This holiday season, the goal is to further enhance resident rooms by replacing 63 outdated wardrobes, ensuring a safer, more comfortable living environment. Your support will help create a dignified space for every resident, enhancing their quality of life.
